Title: Senior dMRV / Carbon Data Engineer (Verra + Puro.earth – Palm Oil / Biochar) Scope: We are AuraChain, building an agentic + Web3 dMRV platform for a Malaysian palm‑oil group (SALCRA). Before engaging Verra VVBs and Puro.earth, we need a freelancer to prepare our data and calculations. Your tasks: Review 24 months of POME SCADA CSV exports (up to 5 mills). Map SCADA fields to Verra VCS POME/biogas methodology requirements and, at a high level, to Puro.earth biochar requirements. Build Python/SQL ETL scripts to clean and structure the data (handle gaps, outliers, units). Implement preliminary carbon calculations (CH₄ avoided / destroyed, EFB→biochar tCO₂e stored) using standard factors. Deliver a short technical memo (10–15 pages) describing data, assumptions, and methods that we can later refine with SustainCERT/DNV or any VVB. Must‑have experience: Hands‑on data work (Python + SQL) with time‑series / SCADA / industrial process data. Prior work on carbon projects under Verra, Gold Standard, or Puro.earth (please include links or docs). Comfortable reading methodologies and turning them into code and clear documentation. Nice‑to‑have: Experience with biochar, BECCS, or other CDR methodologies. Familiarity with digital MRV (dMRV) concepts. Engagement: 12 weeks, 240-360 hours total. Budget range: $24,000–$36,000 USD, depending on experience. Remote, async; we’ll coordinate via weekly calls and Git/Notion.
