I’m a postdoctoral scholar, and preparing a public-facing site that will let scholars quickly locate political-ethics codes issued by national parliaments worldwide. The model I have in mind is ConstituteProject.org, but focused solely on ethics codes. Practically, that means a clean WordPress build with: • A custom post type (or comparable data structure) so each code can be uploaded as a separate record, tagged by country, year, language, and a short abstract. • A prominent keyword search bar that scans titles, tags, and full text. I do not need advanced faceted filters for the first release—straightforward keyword lookup is enough. • An intuitive dashboard workflow so I can add, edit, or retire documents myself after launch without touching code. I’ll have research funding for this project until 20 December and would like your help mapping the project timeline, the steps involved (design, theme development, search indexing, testing, deployment), and a cost breakdown that respects my limited budget. Please outline: – How many weeks you estimate for each phase. – Any ready-made plugins or lightweight custom code you’d lean on for the search experience. – The hand-over process: documentation, a short screen-share session, or another method so I feel confident adding new material on my own. If you have previous experience building research portals or document repositories in WordPress, that would be especially relevant.
