Consumer Product Prototype Refinement

I’m working with a physical, consumer-facing product that has already reached a functional prototype. At this stage I need a product designer who can take the rough build and turn it into a design that is attractive, user-friendly, and ready for mass production. Here’s what I’m looking for: • Translate the current prototype into fully detailed 3D CAD, paying attention to ergonomics, tolerances, and ease of assembly. • Optimise material choices and manufacturing methods so the design can move straight into tooling without costly re-work. • Produce photorealistic renders that highlight key use-cases for investors and marketing. • Supply final production files (STEP or IGES, plus 2D drawings with dimensions and call-outs) along with a concise design rationale. I typically work in SolidWorks but I’m open to Fusion 360 or similar as long as neutral files are provided. Once we kick off, I’ll share prototype photos, measurements, and user feedback so you have clear reference points. Final acceptance happens when the CAD passes my injection-moulding supplier’s DFM check and the renders accurately reflect surface finishes and colour options. I’m ready to start as soon as you can slot this in.
