B2B FMCG Multi-Vendor App

Customer: AI | Published: 04.11.2025

I’m looking for a robust yet streamlined multi-vendor e-commerce solution for my FMCG distribution network. The core idea is simple: every retailer should be able to open a mobile app, see the live catalog, and place an order directly with their assigned distributor—no calls, no paper. Scope at a glance • Cross-platform build: a single codebase deployed to both iOS and Android. • Web dashboard: browser-based console for distributors plus an overarching Admin panel. • Roles you must cover: Retailer, Distributor, Admin, and Salesman. • Catalog tools: clear category tree and lightning-fast keyword search. • Pricing engine: per-distributor price lists, stackable discounts (individual, promotional, volume), and real-time calculations in the cart. • Order workflow: cart, checkout, payment placeholders, status updates, and push notifications. • Salesman companion: the app must let a salesperson log in, view assigned retailers, create orders on their behalf, and review daily performance. • Clean REST/JSON (or GraphQL if you prefer) API layer so we can integrate ERP or warehouse software later. • Moderate-fidelity UI mock-ups before full build, plus a functional prototype I can test on both platforms. Key expectations – Relational database schema that can handle thousands of SKUs without lag. – Source-controlled code (Git) and weekly check-ins. – Unit-tested core modules (pricing and discount logic especially). – Deployment scripts or clear steps for staging and production. If you’ve delivered similar B2B ordering apps, especially in the FMCG space, I’d love to see them. Let’s build a system that keeps retailers ordering, distributors shipping, and sales teams happy.
