Automated Data Capture Tool

I need a browser-based tool that takes my existing log book documents and automatically pulls out three kinds of information—Text data, Numerical data, and Image data—then writes everything to the target database or spreadsheet without further manual entry. The text you will be working with lives exclusively inside documents, not on websites or in emails. Although the log books can vary in layout, every page follows a repeatable structure that makes programmatic extraction realistic. Once the content is parsed, the tool should validate the numbers, keep image files linked to the correct records, and present a quick preview so I can confirm accuracy before committing the batch. Ideal approach: a lightweight web front end (simple upload/drag-and-drop plus status screen) backed by an API that handles OCR, text parsing, and any image processing. Python, JavaScript (Node .js) or similar stacks are all fine as long as the final product runs on a standard cloud host and is easy to maintain. Deliverables • Deployed web application with source code • Clear setup/readme plus an import-ready sample output file demonstrating correct Text data, Numerical data, and Image data mapping • Brief hand-off call or video walkthrough so I can continue adding new log book templates later if needed I’ll provide a small set of representative log books for you to train and test against. Accuracy and a clean, intuitive interface matter more to me than fancy styling, so focus your effort on reliable extraction logic and smooth user flow.
