I run YouTube channel and website called Takeoffexperts.ca, showing our takeoffs work (measuring commercial painting projects for American painting contractors ) whereby i record videos and my voiceover into my laptop. Then i need someone to do editing to make the videos look professional, to reflect the high quality of takeoffs (measuring architectural drawings work) we do. So I need someone who has a technical yet creative mind and skills to do my video editing...who has the ability to take initiative to think like I would think to make our takeoff work look good....in other words, a techically minded yet artistic editor who can weave those pieces into a polished project-showcase episode. Your main task will be to sync my existing voice-over with the visual story—cutting between AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop screens, adding subtle zooms or call-outs so commands and dimensions are clear. Smooth transitions, clean audio leveling, basic colour correction and on-screen titles that reflect architectural standards (fonts, line weights, scale bars) are essential. Typical episode length is 8–12 minutes. I’ll supply: • Raw screen-capture files and camera b-roll • Separate WAV voice track • Any CAD or model files you might need for close-ups or quick fly-through renders You’ll return: • A final 1080p (or higher) MP4 ready for upload, with all cuts, voice syncing and graphics in place • The project file (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar) so I can archive it Turnaround for each video is one week once assets are delivered. Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and Bluebeam terminology will make the editing much faster and the explanations clearer, so please highlight past work where those tools appear on screen. If you’re comfortable merging technical content with engaging pacing, let’s start on our first episode and build from there.
