I need an Android tablet application that completely replaces the current IR-based remote control for our Room VC endpoint. The endpoint already exposes an IR receiver plus an integrated WiFi/Bluetooth module, so the new app must talk to the device over either transport—automatic discovery on the local WiFi network and a seamless fallback to Bluetooth when WiFi is unavailable. Core behaviours mirror the existing handset only: screen navigation (directional pad, OK/Back, Home) and volume up/down with on-screen feedback. No additional app-launching logic is required at this stage; the goal is a “virtual remote” that feels as snappy as the physical one but without line-of-sight limits.
