I want to bring a new social-networking experience to Android users and need a developer who can take the idea from wireframe to a polished, production-ready app. The core concept is simple: connect people around shared interests through posts, real-time chat, and location-based discovery, while keeping the interface fast and clean. Scope of work • Build a native Android app (Kotlin or Java) that supports user sign-up/login, profile creation, feed posting (text, photos, short videos), likes/comments, and one-to-one messaging. • Implement a lightweight location feature so users can discover nearby posts without draining battery. • Design an intuitive UI that follows current Android Material guidelines and scales well from small to large screens. • Set up a secure back end—Firebase, Supabase, or a similarly proven BaaS is fine—covering authentication, real-time database, and cloud storage for media. • Integrate basic push notifications (new messages, new likes/comments). • Include analytics hooks (e.g., Firebase Analytics) so we can track feature adoption from day one. Deliverables 1. Source code repository with clear commit history 2. Compilable APK plus Google Play–ready build and assets 3. README with environment setup, build steps, and deployment instructions 4. Short Loom or screen-recorded walkthrough showing key flows working on an emulator/device Acceptance criteria • App installs and launches on Android 8.0+ without crashes. • All core social actions (post, like, comment, chat) complete within 2 seconds on a mid-range phone over 4G. • No obvious UI glitches across portrait, landscape, and dark mode. • Security best practices followed—no plain-text credentials, rules enforced for database read/write. I’ll provide brand colors, logo, and initial wireframes. If you have previous Play Store links or GitHub samples in a similar space, I’d love to see them so I can gauge style fit before we kick off.
