Project Title: Finite Element Modelling of Helical Pile with Precompression in Sandy Soil (Abaqus/CAE) Project Description: I am seeking an experienced Abaqus analyst to build and solve a complete finite element model for my research project on helical piles under precompression in sandy soil. The focus is on deformation and displacement results, to understand soil–pile interaction under applied loads. Scope of Work: Develop a full 3D finite element model in Abaqus/CAE (no external pre/post software). Model a helical pile embedded in sandy soil, incorporating realistic boundary conditions and precompression loading followed by uplift. Apply suitable material models (e.g., Mohr–Coulomb or Drucker–Prager for sand; elastic for steel). Optimise the mesh to ensure displacement convergence without excessive element count. Provide displacement and contour plots clearly showing deformation zones and pile movement. Validate model output against provided laboratory results. Deliver .cae and .inp files, plus all relevant recordings or step-by-step documentation so I can reproduce and practice the process. Include a brief summary note describing: Modelling choices (geometry, material parameters, element types) Boundary conditions and loading sequence Key findings (peak displacement values, contours, convergence) Deliverables: Abaqus model files (.cae and .inp) Summary note (Word or PDF, concise but clear) Screen recordings or narrated videos of the full modelling process (geometry, meshing, boundary setup, loading, solving, post-processing) Timeline: First draft model within a few days for review Final validated version after revisions Additional Information: Material properties, precompression and uplift load magnitudes, and soil parameters will be provided upon engagement
