My preference is steel, so every coping, fascia, and gravel stop you illustrate should be sized, gauged, and anchored with that material in mind. Every detail must satisfy international building codes for wind resistance; the drawings should make it easy for an engineer or local authority to verify compliance without extra back-and-forth. Please show dimensions, material thicknesses, splice plate lengths, fastener types and spacing, and any sealant requirements directly on the sheets.
