I am hiring an experienced WordPress web developer to build a service-based website that is structured for SEO from the ground up. This is not a design-only project. The website must be intentionally built for local search visibility, performance, and conversions. This project is for developers who understand technical SEO, on-page SEO, and website architecture — not those who rely solely on plugins or generic templates. Project Scope and Requirements (non-negotiable) • WordPress website build using a clean, lightweight structure • SEO-first site architecture designed for a local service business • Manually written page titles and meta descriptions (no auto-generated content) • Proper heading hierarchy (one H1 per page with logical use of H2 and H3) • Clean, keyword-friendly URLs • Separate, indexable service pages • Separate location / geo pages to support local SEO • Strategic internal linking between service pages, location pages, and contact pages • Mobile-first design with fast load times and strong performance • Image optimization including compression, descriptive file names, and ALT text • Basic LocalBusiness schema / structured data • Website must be fully crawlable and indexable by search engines Booking and Payment Requirements The website must include an integrated booking and payment system that allows customers to complete the full process on the website in one flow. Customers must be able to select a service, choose an available date and time, and securely submit payment. The booking and payment solution must: • Be fully integrated into the website rather than replacing core pages • Preserve SEO by keeping service pages indexable and separate from the booking flow • Be accessible via a dedicated internal booking page (for example, /book) linked from all service pages • Support online payments (credit/debit cards at minimum) • Be secure, mobile-friendly, and fast-loading • Not negatively affect site structure, crawlability, or performance Service pages are intended for SEO and must not be replaced by the booking or payment interface. The booking and checkout experience should be conversion-focused while supporting the overall SEO strategy. Applicants should explain which booking and payment approach they recommend and why it meets these requirements.
