I need my WordPress site, orcaonline.org, updated to the latest Colobrlib Shapely theme. It's crucial to retain the current homepage layout, blog posts and archives, and contact forms during this update. Additionally, I need you to fix errors in the category posts, specifically broken links. Ideal skills and experience: - Proven expertise in WordPress theme updates - Familiarity with Colobrlib Shapely theme - Strong attention to detail for preserving existing site structure - Experience in identifying and correcting broken links - Good understanding of WordPress SEO (optional but beneficial) The website orcaonline.org serves the needs of the Old Reel Collectors Association, a non-profit collector group of 700 members. The Wordpress website supports a Woocommerce store, membership services, library, and contains extensive historical information on antique and vintage fishing reels. There is an extensive local photo gallery, and extended documents on AWS S3. The posting feature is only available to editors, and those posts support the online announcements of the topics in our print and digital publication known as Reel News. The site is supported by the Wordpress theme Colorlib Shapley. It is hosted on Dreamhost, and the site is protected by Cloudflare and Jetpack scans. The site has evolved extensively over 20+ years, having adopted the Wordpress format over 10 years ago. The site is stable, but has experienced problems with the Theme. We contracted with Dreamhost professional services to update Shapely, and they purpotfldly did so, but every time Woocommerce is updated the Theme reverts to version 1.0. They seem clueless to help us. Due to outdated themes, there are broken features. The main complaint is the page that displays all the posts from the category what’s-hot; This is the list of all of our Reel News posts in the cateogory “what’s-hot”. The issue is that we receive a 404 Not Found when navigating to any page other than page 1. Setting up a test page to do the same thing works fine. In any event, not having the latest theme available causes many issues, including the unavailability of the plugin Shapely Companion. When this plugin is activated, it causes a fatal error. In the short term, we need an expert that is familiar with themes in general and how they are managed on Wordpress. Ideally, they are familiar with Shapely. We are looking for a partnership where they can assist us, and not take over maintenance of the entire site, since we have 30 years of experience in the operations of websites and are capable of all daily maintenance and extension of the site. We want an expert to consult with and resolve the issues noted, and to provide us with the instructions and guidance to maintain this site properly using best-practices. We are looking for a long term partnership with a group that is willing to work with us to enhance our site over many years, and we have many projects to offer. We have not yet seen a group that has the expertise to help us resolve the structural issues and work with us long term. I hope that we can find that group. I have in the past seen that finding the right person is productive for both parties.
