STL Scan Reverse Engineering

I have a set of raw scan files—mostly STL, with a few OBJ, generic mesh exports and some early-stage .sldprt starts—that need to be turned into clean, fully editable 3D models. The goal is to move from these meshes to native, feature-based CAD that can be updated, toleranced and ultimately manufactured. You will start with the supplied scans, rebuild the geometry so every face is accurate, and deliver the finished part as a SolidWorks .sldprt file plus a neutral STEP for cross-platform use. Please keep all critical dimensions faithful to the original mesh; an overlay that shows minimal deviation will be used as acceptance. If you normally rely on tools such as Geomagic Design X, Siemens NX or similar reverse-engineering plug-ins, feel free to put them to work—whatever gets the job done precisely. When you reply, let me know the workflow you plan to follow and the typical accuracy you achieve between mesh and final model.
