River Home (Front Plantings) Project Overview** Need a simple virtual planting design for the front yard of my Central Florida ((Deland) home. (approx 22' long are and a 5' corner) House faces directly west with some afternoon shade from a single large Magnolia tree in the front yard—this tree drops leaves constantly, so all new plants must be in **elevated containers only** (no in-ground planting) for easy cleanup. **Site & Style Notes** - Central Florida, west-facing front elevation. - Existing Magnolia in front yard with heavy, constant leaf drop. - Automated watering (drip or otherwise) is available and can be extended to containers. - Looking for **low-maintenance**, Florida-friendly plants that can handle heat, humidity, and sun (potted / containerized) - All plants must be in containers (pots, troughs, flower boxes, etc.)—no mulch or in-ground beds anywhere. *** ## Design Scope – Looking for design concepts, Owner currently lean toward flower boxes with some kind of containerized plantings on ground (larger at home corners) but open to all ideas that keep plants elevated off ground to help with my weed control and constant cleanup of Magnoliaa leaves.
