I’m looking to engage an experienced draftsman or architectural designer to help create a concept plan for a new residential build project. I’ll be self-managing the design and build process, so I’m after someone who can take my initial ideas and turn them into a clear, buildable concept layout. Project Overview Type: Residential new build (single dwelling) Style: Modern, functional design with strong use of light and natural materials Site: Private section (details and contour plan available once engaged) Scope: Concept design only (floor plans, elevations, and site layout) — not for consent stage yet Floor Area: Approx. 220sq Levels: double-storey Outcome: PDF and CAD concept drawings suitable for early pricing and feasibility review What I’ll Provide Site plan and contour survey Design inspiration, layout preferences, and room requirements Example plans and reference elevations from previous projects What I Need From You Professional concept design drawings Basic 3D massing or render (optional, but preferred) Willingness to collaborate on design refinements before moving to BC documentation stage Ideal Candidate Proficient in ArchiCAD / Revit / AutoCAD Experience designing NZ residential homes Knowledge of NZ building standards and site constraints Strong communication and design collaboration skills Budget & Timeline Open to quotes — please provide a rough cost estimate for concept design Target start: ASAP Initial concept turnaround: 1–2 weeks
