I want to turn Interactive Brokers market feeds into a single, reusable Power BI template that shows both the big picture and the day-to-day details of my trading activity. The job has two equally important parts: 1. A lightweight API (or gateway) that taps directly into the Interactive Brokers API, pulls the instruments I specify, and streams the data in a format Power BI can refresh on demand. 2. A polished Power BI dashboard that visualises market trends and trading performance reports with three perspectives built in: historical performance, real-time updates, and predictive analysis. For the dashboard I expect intuitive navigation, clean DAX measures, and a data model that lets me filter by symbol, timeframe, and strategy without breaking the refresh cycle. Forecast visuals should rely on Power BI’s native analytics or Python/R scripts—whichever you believe gives the most reliable outlook. For the API service, feel free to use Python (FastAPI, Flask) or Node, as long as it exposes secure REST endpoints that Power BI can hit and that I can host on my own VPS. Clear setup instructions and commented code are essential because I’ll maintain the service once you hand it over. Deliverables (acceptance criteria) • Source code and deployment guide for the API, proven to connect to Interactive Brokers and deliver JSON compatible with Power BI. • A .pbix template wired to that API, pre-populated with sample queries, measures, and visuals for market trends and trading performance. • A brief walkthrough (video or live call) so I can refresh the data, switch symbols, and extend the model myself.
