Next.js & Laravel Pagespeed Optimization

Our website sim2day.com runs a Next.js frontend on top of a Laravel API. Google PageSpeed Insights is flagging long first paint, sluggish interactions, and resources that crawl in late, so real-world users are feeling the drag. My main goal is simple: cut load times everywhere, with the home page, product pages, and checkout path getting top priority. Very Important is the speed on mobile! You’ll have full access to the Git-based repo. I’m looking for a thoughtful approach—code-splitting, smarter image handling, server caching, whatever best removes the bottlenecks—rather than a quick plugin fix. Deliverables I need to sign off: • Home, product, and checkout pages consistently scoring 90+ on mobile and 95+ on desktop in Google PageSpeed (EU test location, incognito). • A brief before/after report summarising every change so our team can maintain the gains. Let me know your timeline, the optimisation techniques you plan to tackle first, and any questions about the current setup. The sooner we can ship a faster experience, the better.
