Native Gamified Mobile App Developer

I’m building a consumer-facing mobile application whose main selling point is an integrated gaming layer, so I need a true game developer rather than a traditional app coder. The core app already handles accounts, payments, and basic UI; your mission is to bolt on a polished, addictive game experience written directly in native iOS / Android frameworks (SpriteKit, SceneKit, GameplayKit, Android Canvas, Jetpack Game libraries, or any equivalent you favour on the metal). The heart of the experience will be a series of bite-sized mini-games that reward users for real-world behaviour. When a user reaches a designated physical location the app should automatically unlock new levels, drop power-ups, or trigger bonus rounds—so tight GPS handling, background location permissions, and smooth game-loop hand-off are critical. Think Pokémon GO–style unlocks, but contained inside short, replayable challenges that keep session length down and retention high. I’m looking for someone who has shipped at least one native mobile game (show it to me) and can handle: • Designing and coding the mini-games, including art/animation pipelines if you work solo • Building a location-based reward engine that hands data back to the main app for badges, points, and in-app currency • Optimising frame rate, memory, and battery usage—the games need to feel console-snappy yet run on mid-tier phones • Delivering clean, well-documented native code that my internal team can maintain after launch Deliverables I need to see before sign-off: 1. Xcode/Android Studio projects with runnable mini-games integrated into our app container 2. A location trigger module that I can test in multiple geofenced spots 3. Technical documentation and a short screen-recorded walkthrough showing the reward flow end-to-end If your portfolio shows Unity or Unreal work only, feel free to apply but be prepared to justify how you’ll meet the native requirement without middleware. Non-gaming app portfolios will be ignored. Let’s build something users can’t put down.
