About the Project We're building a Napoleonic-era real-time strategy game with three factions: France, Austria, and Piedmont. We need a complete animation set for infantry, cavalry, artillery, and command units. Rigs will be provided (or created in Job #1 — we can coordinate). Scope The total scope depends on the final model count (see below), but the unique animation count stays the same either way: Option A (16 models) Unique: 51 Retargeted: 60 Total: 111 Option B (21 models) Unique: 51 Retargeted: 102 Total: 153 Animation Set Per Unit Type Infantry & cavalry: Walk, Idle, Reload, Run, Shoot, Death, Charge, Melee, Retreat (9 each). Artillery crew: Idle, Shoot, Reload (3). Command units (general, officers, drummers, trumpeters, standard bearers, supply): full set TBD — detailed descriptions will be provided per unit. All animations are loopable where appropriate (Walk, Idle, Run, Retreat). Retargeting is from French base rigs to Austrian and Piedmontese rigs — quality check required on all retargets. Technical Specs - Format: FBX animations - Frame rate: 30fps (to be confirmed) - Root motion: optional, to be confirmed with our tech team - Rig compatibility: standard humanoid (Unity Humanoid / UE5 Mannequin / Mixamo) - Delivery: grouped by unit type Important Note Detailed per-animation briefs (timing, key poses, gameplay context) will be shared during the project. For the proposal stage, we need your quote and timeline for both scope options separately. To Apply Please share a reel or examples of game character animations — especially locomotion cycles and combat animations. Historical or military style is a big plus.
