ISummary About the Platform We’re building a major multi-tenant SaaS platform in the US. The core architecture was originally built by a senior Eastern European engineering team (Russians/Armenians). It’s solid, scalable, and well-structured. For the last two years, the platform has been maintained and extended by one consistent engineer who ensured stability and module-level delivery — but did not design the architecture. Now we’re moving into the next phase. We need a Laravel architect-type engineer to modernize, extend, and guide the platform’s evolution. There is no existing engineering team you’re joining. You are the first hire in this phase — and you will set the engineering standard going forward. What You’ll Do This is not task-based coding. It’s system ownership. You will: Shape architecture decisions for new modules Lead the Laravel 8 → 12 modernization Design clean service layers, queues, events, and caching strategies Improve and refactor legacy areas Maintain multi-tenant logic and data boundaries Ensure consistency across modules Work directly with the US founder + senior technical architect (IBM/Deloitte background) Prepare the system for future team expansion (there is NO team today) This role is about thinking and planning just as much as coding. Required Skills 4+ years Laravel (deep understanding, not beginner-level) Strong experience with large systems or SaaS backends Strong database design (MySQL) Queues, jobs, events, observers, caching REST API architecture Git discipline (branches, readable commits, PR logic) Ability to reason about scale, maintainability, and long-term impact Ability to work independently with high clarity Strong English communication Bonus (not required but helpful): Multi-tenancy Docker Refactoring legacy codebases Experience modernizing old Laravel versions Why This Role Matters You are not joining a crowded dev team. You are becoming the architect anchor for the next 12–24 months of platform growth. If you’ve ever wanted to shape a real product — not just complete tickets — this is that opportunity. How to Apply Send: Your GitHub Your availability One project where you influenced the system design or architecture No long proposal needed.
