I am looking for a lead hospitality interior designer to become my long‑term design partner for multiple venues in Hurghada, Egypt. I don’t need simple moodboards or one‑off visualizations – I want someone who can take full creative ownership and build a clear, executable design for real spaces. The first project is Mafia, an existing Italian restaurant in a mall in Hurghada that will be fully redesigned (interior, exterior, and terrace). Your role is to handle everything: interior and exterior layout, furniture, lighting, décor, plates/glasses, materials, and all details, and turn it into a complete, buildable concept with clear guidelines for execution. I have a PDF with the vibe and reference materials ready to share with shortlisted candidates; before we sign any full contract, I expect to see a small pre‑project proposal or initial concept from you so I can judge how you think and work. What I expect from you: a strong hospitality portfolio (restaurants, bars, cafés, hotel F&B), the ability to go from concept to buildable design (not just pretty images), leadership skills to direct others and keep a consistent design language across many venues, and clear communication in English with fast, practical collaboration. The collaboration will start on a fixed‑price basis for Mafia with clear deliverables and timelines, then, if we both like working together, move into ongoing work across multiple venues, structured as project fees and/or a monthly retainer with bonuses depending on the volume of projects. When you send your proposal, include: • Links to your best 3–5 hospitality projects and a short note on your role in each. • Your suggested fixed price for the full Mafia design scope. • How you would ideally structure and grow a small team around you as projects increase. DELIVERABLES The lead designer is responsible for creating a complete, buildable design that my local contractors can execute. I expect you to handle everything on the design side, including: • Overall design concept and story for the restaurant (short PDF or slides). • Interior layout plan (2D) with furniture layout for all areas (entrance, bar, dining, circulation, service). • Terrace / outdoor layout plan with furniture and zones. • Seating plan showing table types, capacities, and arrangements. • Zoning plan (main dining, bar, waiting, special corners, etc.). • 3–5 key 3D views/renders showing the main areas (entrance, main dining, bar, terrace). • Additional supporting views if needed to understand important details. • Materials and finishes board for floors, walls, ceilings, bar, and key elements (with references). • Color palette and main material combinations. • Furniture concept and list (tables, chairs, bar stools, couches/sofas, benches, outdoor furniture, etc.) with reference images and basic dimensions. • Lighting concept: type of fixtures (pendants, wall lights, spots, decorative lamps) and where they are used. • Reflected ceiling/lighting plan (basic, not engineering) indicating positions of fixtures. • Décor and styling direction: art, mirrors, plants, shelves, small objects, and key decorative elements with examples. • Tabletop concept: plates, glasses, cutlery, napkins, table accessories (with visual references and suggestions). • Bar design concept: bar front, back bar, shelving, display, and lighting for the bar area. • Signage and façade design: restaurant exterior look, main sign, entrance treatment, and any window/door graphics. • Basic elevations/sections for important walls or features (for example: main feature wall, bar front, key partitions). • Simple furniture layouts and measurements that help my contracting team build or source items locally. • Suggestion list of materials and finishes that are realistic to build (no crazy impossible ideas). • Short written guidelines explaining key details and intentions so my on‑ground team can execute without confusion. • One small pre‑project step before the full work: a rough layout and one quick sketch or simple visual to confirm we are aligned, then we move into the full design package as described above. My local contracting team will handle construction and execution on site. Your responsibility is to provide a complete design and documentation package so they can build exactly what you designed. CANDIDATE INFO • Strong portfolio in hospitality interiors (restaurants, bars, cafés, hotel F&B). • Clear experience taking projects from concept to buildable design (not only moodboards or pretty renders). • Ability to think about everything: interior, exterior, terrace, layouts, furniture, lighting, décor, materials, and details. • Comfortable preparing drawings and documents that contractors can actually use on site.
