Industry-Leading Website Redesign & Expansion

We’re now planning to redevelop our website with the goal of creating an industry-leading digital presence that positions us ahead of key competitors. We want a site that’s faster, smarter, and fully SEO-optimised, helping us dominate organic search for our key products while delivering a smooth, professional user experience across all regions. Our current focus is to launch an efficient, cost-effective solution, potentially on a platform like Shopify (if it can deliver the required SEO, performance, and product management capabilities) — before we later invest in a fully bespoke build or expansion. 1. Branding & Design Maintain our prominent yellow as the primary brand color, supported by black as the secondary. Use Poppins or a similarly clean, modern typeface. Overall design should be sleek, professional, and consistent across all devices. We can support imagery creation through AI image generation and internal design resources. Navigation and site architecture should be intuitive, fast, and easy to update from the CMS, with clear product and service categorisation and the flexibility to add new landing pages. 2. Performance & SEO Speed and responsiveness are top priorities, especially on older computers and slower internet connections — both desktop and mobile must load instantly. The site must be highly SEO-friendly, automatically generating meta titles, descriptions, and structured data (with support for multi-language SEO). Search visibility for product pages should significantly improve, capturing traffic from people actively searching for our key items. Integration with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and conversion tracking (thank-you page tags, enquiry triggers, etc.) is essential. 3. Functionality & Product Management Product Management: A clean CMS interface allowing bulk upload, edit, and deletion of products. Accuracy, speed, and simplicity here are critical, as it’s currently a major pain point. Multi-Region Setup: One global .com site with localized subdirectories like /de, /mx, /ch, etc., for regional SEO and enquiry routing. Stock & Availability: Ideally, a nightly sync or script that checks internal or partner stock levels and automatically updates availability statuses (e.g., In Stock, Available, Last Few). Enquiry & Order Flow: Primarily an enquiry-driven site, with an optional special priced stock section for direct online purchases. Integration: Enquiry forms must feed directly into our bespoke internal system, capturing structured data fields (contact name, company, part number, condition, quantity, etc.). Automation: “Thank You” pages should trigger Google Ads tags and automated follow-up emails. 4. Analytics & Tracking Built-in analytics to monitor product views, enquiries, and performance metrics. Seamless integration with Google Analytics, Ads, and Tag Manager. Data should help us understand which products and categories are performing and where to optimise. 5. AI & Future-Ready Features Integration of AI tools for product content creation, translation, and AI-generated imagery (with watermarking). Framework should support future expansion — adding pricing, a customer portal, or app functionality that enables quote tracking, order management, and aftersales support. 6. Platform & Budget We’re open to the best-value platform that delivers: Top-tier SEO performance and fast loading times Easy product management and scalability Strong integration potential with our bespoke systems A Shopify or similar CMS build could be ideal if it provides the speed, SEO, and flexibility we need, but we’re open to better alternatives if they offer superior long-term scalability and integration at a comparable or lower cost. Summary In short, we want to build a best-in-class website for our industry — one that outperforms competitors in speed, SEO, and usability, supports global growth, and integrates seamlessly with our internal operations. The platform should set the foundation for a future phase that adds AI-driven tools, customer portals, and automation. I’ve also shared an example in the spreadsheet for reference. Happy to jump on a quick call to explore how you might approach this and what you’d recommend as the most cost-effective path forward.
