The core of my web-based chat app already exists, but it needs three upgrades delivered in parallel: 1. A polished light / dark theme system. I currently sniff the user’s browser setting, yet the switch is unreliable and some components ignore the style tokens. I want flawless auto-detection, a manual toggle, and 100 % visual consistency across every screen. 2. Full parity with Google Chat features. That means: • Spaces (our “Communities”) where members can post threads. • Direct / personal chats. • Video and audio calls inside personal chats only. If you prefer WebRTC or another standards-based approach, great—just keep everything in-browser. 3. A performance pass plus richer Admin KPIs. Identify bottlenecks, refactor as needed, and expose actionable metrics on the existing dashboard. Hand-off criteria: every feature must run smoothly in both themes, on modern desktop and mobile browsers, with no new regressions in load time or memory use. PRs should be clean, well-commented, and accompanied by short test notes so I can validate quickly.
