I’m looking to bring a dedicated web developer on board at Base 44 to take full ownership of new and existing blog-style content sites. This is a true full-time role—expect a consistent workload, daily collaboration, and a strong focus on clean, maintainable code. Our immediate priority is web development for content-driven websites: building themes or layouts from scratch, extending or customizing a CMS that best fits each project, and ensuring pages load fast, render beautifully on every device, and remain easy for editors to update. While the first assignments revolve around blogs and knowledge hubs, the tech we put in place should be robust enough to evolve; later phases may include corporate pages or even light e-commerce features if the business grows that way. You’ll be steering the entire stack: • Front-end: responsive HTML5/CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+, frameworks welcome if they speed us up). • Back-end & CMS: bring your preferred toolkit—whether that’s WordPress, headless CMS setups, or custom PHP/Node builds—as long as it keeps content creators happy and secure. • DevOps basics: version control in Git, staging environments, performance optimisation, and routine deployments.
