I’m working on an atmospheric narrative multiplayer game focused on liminal environments, emotional storytelling, and immersive audio. The experience is built around a sequence of interconnected 10/11 levels, each with a unique mood (nostalgic, unsettling, calm, surreal), where transitions between spaces are a core part of the gameplay. These transitions include seamless environmental shifts, collapses of space, portals, elevators, flooded rooms, and other cinematic moments that move the player from one world to another. The game is designed to work both in single-player and multiplayer, with mechanics that adapt based on the number of players (such as separation events, proximity voice effects, echoes, and environmental audio changes). Key elements of the project include: Atmospheric level design with strong visual identity Cinematic transitions between environments Real-time voice effects (echo, distortion, distance simulation) Light narrative presence through characters, sounds, and visual cues Short but impactful sequences rather than long repetitive gameplay The goal is to create a highly immersive and emotional experience, focusing on atmosphere, sound design, and visual storytelling rather than traditional action gameplay.
