## What the app is about This app is designed for runners who participate in races with their dogs. The goal is to create a simple place where runners go to the app to find and download their official event photos, personalize them with basic race information, and share them on social media. The app focuses on the post-race experience: photos, emotions, and sharing the moment (runner + dog + finish line). Unlike Strava, this app does NOT track the run. Instead, it asks a few simple questions (dog’s name, time, distance) and generates a share-ready image using the event photo. The product will be developed in phases, starting with a very simple MVP. --- ## Budget Transparency (Important) I want to be very transparent from the beginning. My current available budget to start Phase 1 is $500 USD. I don’t have more budget at this moment. Additional investment would come later, once the idea is validated and the app is being used. I’m looking for a developer who understands MVPs, is comfortable starting small, and is open to growing the product over time. If this budget does not work for you, I completely understand and don’t want to waste anyone’s time. --- ## Phase 1 – Very Basic MVP (Quote requested for this phase only) Goal: Validate that users are willing to download the app to access and share their photos. Scope for Phase 1: - Admin: ability to upload event photos (simple bulk upload) and organize them by event. - User access: users download the app and access event photos via a simple QR code or access code (no OCR in this phase). - Photo download options: - Free download with an event-branded frame. - (Optional / future) Paid download without the frame. - Simple manual inputs before download: - Dog’s name - Finish time - Distance - The app generates a share-ready image (photo + frame + text), ready for Instagram and social media. Out of scope for Phase 1: - Live GPS tracking - Automatic activity sync (Strava / Apple Health / Google Fit) - OCR bib-number detection - Marketplace, vendors, or race registrations --- ## Phase 2 – Future (When Budget Is Available) - OCR-based photo search - Strava / Health integrations - Digital certificates (image + PDF) - In-app purchases and monetization - Sponsor and branding management per event --- ## Phase 3 – Future - Live GPS tracking - User profiles with race and dog history - Marketplace and community features --- What I’m asking now: - Confirmation if Phase 1 is feasible within $500 - Recommended tech stack (web app, PWA, Flutter, etc.) to keep costs low - What can realistically be delivered within 2–4 weeks I’m intentionally starting small.
