Project Overview I’m looking to design a dog long lead holder as the main product of my brand. The holder is designed to keep long dog leads tidy, tangle-free, and easy to carry while walking. As part of V1, the holder will be designed to work seamlessly with a specific rope lead and optionally fit within a simple carry bag, but the holder itself is the primary focus. V1 Product Scope (Locked) A. Long Lead Holder (Main Product – Primary Focus) - Core product and main design priority - Designed to store a 10-metre rope dog lead - Optimised for rope leads of approx. 8mm diameter - Rope wraps around the outside of the holder - Simple securing method to prevent unravelling during walks - Durable, outdoor-appropriate design - Sized and shaped so the full 10m lead fits neatly and securely B. Rope Dog Lead (Supporting Product) - 10-metre rope lead - Approx. 8mm diameter - Simple, functional handle design - Designed specifically to be compatible with the holder above - No complex padding or advanced hardware at this stage C. Carry Bag (Optional / Supporting Concept) - Simple pouch-style carry bag to store the holder + lead - Basic concept only (no clips, modular systems, or multiple compartments) - Included only if it does not add significant complexity to V1 Deliverables - Manufacturing-ready CAD files (Fusion 360 preferred) - Key dimensions and tolerances for the holder (primary) and supporting items - Clear explanation of how the lead wraps and secures on the holder - Renders or visuals showing form, scale, and usage Out of Scope for V1 - Multiple lead lengths or diameters - Advanced bag systems or accessories - Branding, logos, packaging, or marketing assets - V2 feature development (future phase) Goal Deliver a clean, manufacturable V1 long lead holder as the main product, supported by a matching rope lead and optional carry bag, with simplicity, function, and manufacturability as the priority. Experience with physical product design and manufacturing-ready CAD is preferred.
