Phase 1 – Camera/Sensor Selection & Electronic Design for Android Device Project Description: I am developing a custom hardware product and want to begin with Phase 1, focusing on camera/sensor selection and electronic interface design. The objective of this phase is to identify the most suitable camera sensors and lenses (one for close-range document capture and one for mid/far-range viewing), and design the electronic architecture and PCB to connect both cameras to an Android tablet via USB-C (preferably USB 3.0). This stage is limited to engineering design and consultation — no material purchase or prototype manufacturing is required at this stage. Scope of Work • Analyze performance requirements (short- and mid-distance imaging). • Recommend best-fit camera sensors and lenses (MIPI CSI-2 preferred). • Design the PCB and electronic interface to connect both cameras to an Android tablet. • Ensure design is scalable for later software/app integration. Deliverables 1. Component recommendation (sensor, lens, connectors, key parts) with datasheets and reasoning. 2. Electronic design documentation (schematics, PCB layout, and connection diagrams). 3. Integration notes for Android compatibility and power management.
