Location: Brussels, Belgium Room Size: ~18 m² Timeline: 6–8 weeks from appointment Project Type: Concept, design development, and online procurement sourcing for a baby’s room (newborn – 2 years) ⸻ Objective We are seeking an interior designer to conceptualise and design a construction-themed baby room. The designer will handle the full design process — from concept to detailed selections — and create visuals and item lists suitable for online procurement and simple local execution. Scope of Work Design Phase • Develop moodboard and design concept (construction theme) • Prepare layout plan, elevations, and 3D renders (day + night lighting views) • Provide final design pack in PDF (no editable files required) Procurement Phase • Prepare an Excel item list and budget after design approval, including: • Description of each item • Image thumbnail • Source link (Europe-based websites preferred) • Unit cost and total cost summary • Sourcing should focus on European outlets (e.g., IKEA, Maisons du Monde, Smallable, etc.), but small decorative items may be from global stores that ship to Belgium. Optional / Conditional Scope • Shopfitting design and detailed joinery drawings may be added later if the design includes custom furniture or built-ins. ⸻ Room Details • Approx. 18 m² baby room • Existing built-in cupboards, doors, and windows must remain unchanged • Paint, wall treatments, and freestanding furniture can be modified • Ceiling and ceiling lighting are to remain as-is • Incorporate organisers/storage for toys and miscellaneous items (not clothing) • Include integrated lighting ideas (e.g., bedside lamps, shelf LEDs) • Overall concept should be safe and practical for an infant environment ⸻ Deliverables • Concept moodboard • Floor plan and elevations (PDF) • Two 3D renders (day & night) • Excel budget & item list with links, images, and totals ⸻ Budget & Payment • Designer to propose a fixed design fee for the defined scope • Additional quotation can be provided for any shop drawings or extra custom items ⸻ Resources Provided Shortlisted designers will receive: • Room photos and video walk-through • Floor plan and existing elevations • Consultation with us to discuss our ideas and some images from us that we like.
