Project Description: I'm looking for an experienced hardware engineer who can handle complete end-to-end product design for our IshaSync brand — a line of professional USB-to-Ethernet adapters and hubs. This is a bundle project for 4 related models that share the same core design, so I'm looking for a single engineer/team who can deliver everything, not someone who only does PCB or only does enclosures. Product Line Overview: ModelConnectorFeaturesIS-UE1EUSB-AGigabit Ethernet (RJ45)IS-CE1EUSB-CGigabit Ethernet (RJ45)IS-UE3HUSB-AGigabit Ethernet + 3×USB 3.0IS-CE3HUSB-CGigabit Ethernet + 3×USB 3.0 Key Technical Details: Ethernet Controller: Realtek RTL8156B Hub Controller (3H models): RTS5411 or GL3523 All models are bus-powered (no external power supply) 4-layer PCB with controlled impedance routing Aluminum enclosure with thermal management Compact, rugged design (~85×25×15 mm) MAC address storage via EEPROM What I Need From You: You must be able to deliver all of the following for each model: ✅ Gerber files (fabrication-ready for JLCPCB/PCBWay) ✅ Complete BOM with manufacturer part numbers (MPNs) ✅ Schematic PDF + editable source (Altium or KiCad preferred) ✅ 3D mechanical enclosure design (STP/MTL files with proper port cutouts and thermal pad placement) ✅ High-quality render for marketing (optional but preferred) ✅ MAC address EEPROM configuration guidance Why This is a Bundle Project: All four models share the same core schematic, PCB layout structure, and enclosure design. The only differences are: Connector type (USB-A vs USB-C) Whether the hub IC is included (1E vs 3H models) Minor routing and connector placement adjustments Because of this overlap, I expect a bundled price for all 4 models together, not individual pricing per model. Most of the design work can be reused across variants. Requirements: Must Have: Proven experience designing USB 3.0 products with Realtek chipsets Ability to handle both PCB design AND mechanical enclosure modeling Portfolio showing similar products (USB hubs, Ethernet adapters, or multi-port devices) Familiarity with high-speed signal routing, impedance control, and ESD protection Can provide editable source files (not just exports) Nice to Have: Experience with aluminum enclosure design and thermal management Knowledge of JLCPCB/PCBWay manufacturing standards Previous work with anodized finishes and logo engraving placement Deliverable Timeline: Phase 1: Schematic review (3-5 days) Phase 2: PCB layout + enclosure design (2-3 weeks) Phase 3: Final file package delivery (2-3 days) How to Apply: Please include in your proposal: Your total bundled price for all 4 models (not per-model pricing) Estimated timeline from start to final delivery Portfolio samples of similar USB or multi-port device designs Confirmation that you can handle both PCB and mechanical enclosure work Which software you use (Altium, KiCad, SolidWorks, etc.) Note: I will not consider proposals that: Only offer PCB design without enclosure work Quote separate high prices for each model instead of recognizing the design overlap Cannot provide editable source files Lack relevant portfolio examples About IshaSync: IshaSync is a premium connectivity brand focused on rugged, reliable adapters for professionals. These four base models will be followed by more advanced products (docking stations with HDMI, Wi-Fi 6, Power Delivery), so there's potential for ongoing work with the right partner. I'm looking for a long-term collaboration with an engineer who understands product design from concept to manufacturing-ready files. Budget Justification: Given that: All 4 models share 70-80% of the same design The schematic and layout are highly reusable Only connector types and minor routing differ between variants I'm expecting a fair bundled price in the range of $1,000-$1,200 for the complete package (all 4 models, all deliverables). If you believe the scope requires a different budget, please explain your reasoning clearly in your proposal.
