PROJECT TITLE Ride-matching web app for a private college (MVP) WHAT I NEED A simple web app that matches two students who travel the same origin→destination at similar times. No drivers, no bookings, no payments. The app only helps two students find each other and coordinate their ride externally. I am also open to brainstorming if the developer has better or simpler ideas for the MVP. CORE FEATURES 1. Domain-restricted login • Signup/login only with emails from one specific domain. • Magic link or OTP to that domain email only. • Block all other emails. 2. User profile • Name • Origin location (pin on map) • Destination location (pin on map) • Preferred travel times (morning and evening) 3. Route input • User selects origin and destination on Google Maps. • Save coordinates. 4. Matching (simple) • Basic rule-based matching. • Match when origin is nearby, destination is nearby, and time overlaps. • No advanced algorithm required. 5. Match flow • Send match request. • Accept or decline. • After mutual accept, reveal phone number and enable live location sharing. 6. Live location • Works only after mutual acceptance. • Use browser geolocation + Google Maps. • No tracking before acceptance. 7.
