I’m putting together a fast, highly secure web platform that combines the breadth of Amazon-style shopping with a few extra touches unique to the Indian market. The goal of this first release is a functional, responsive prototype that proves out every core flow so we can scale later. Scope of the prototype • Multi-category catalogue covering groceries, electronics, fashion, accessories, and general merchandise. • Dedicated “Buy Gold & Silver” module for live bullion pricing, carting, checkout, and digital locker records. • Streaming hub that surfaces embedded content from Prime Video, Netflix, and JioHotstar (public APIs or embeddable widgets; no content hosting required). • Travel desk for real-time train and flight ticket searches, seat selection, and booking confirmation. • Three account tiers—Buyer, Seller, and Admin—each with its own dashboard and permission set. • Shopping conveniences: product recommendations, user reviews & ratings, and personal wishlists. • Checkout that accepts all major cards, UPI, net-banking, and wallets, while settling exclusively in INR or USD. • Performance targets: sub-2-second page loads on 4G and above; lighthouse score 90+ for both mobile and desktop. • Security: industry-standard authentication and end-to-end TLS; hardened server configuration; regular input sanitisation. • Admin console for catalogue, order, user, and content management. Deliverables for this phase 1. Responsive front-end (React, Angular, or Vue—your comfort zone) with pixel-perfect UI aligned to a clean design system. 2. Back-end API layer (Node/Express, Django, or similar) wired to a relational database with clear ER diagrams. 3. Payment gateway integration sandbox-tested in INR and USD. 4. Documentation bundle: setup guide, API reference, and a high-level architecture diagram. 5. Deployed demo on a cloud host (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with SSL in place. I’m focused on clean code, modular architecture, and future-proofing for native mobile apps down the line. If you have experience building large-scale e-commerce or super-app experiences, let’s talk about how you’ll approach each component, the tech stack you favour, and a realistic milestone plan.
