I’m seeking an experienced developer to build 3–4 independent monitoring bots that scan large retail websites for extreme discounts, pricing anomalies, or errors in near real-time or Freebies. These bots will be used privately and integrated into a Discord server to automatically post alerts. This project is strictly for data monitoring and alerting. No checkout automation, purchasing, or cart interaction is required. Core Responsibilities Develop 3–4 monitoring bots to scan selected retailer websites Detect pricing anomalies and extreme discounts, specifically 80%–100% off normal retail pricing Compare live prices against historical or reference pricing Push real-time alerts to designated Discord channels via webhooks or a Discord bot Implement configurable filters (discount %, price ranges, categories, keywords, SKUs, etc.) Ensure stability, logging, and graceful error handling Technical Requirements Strong experience with Python or JavaScript (Node.js preferred) Proven background in web scraping or price monitoring (Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, Requests, etc.) Experience building Discord bots or webhook-based alert systems Understanding of rate limiting, headers, proxies, and responsible monitoring practices Ability to deliver clean, documented, maintainable code Nice to Have (Not Required) *Prior work with Discord reselling or deal communities *Experience monitoring major e-commerce platforms (Shopify-based sites, Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.) *Cloud deployment experience (VPS, AWS, DigitalOcean) *Ongoing support or long-term collaboration availability Deliverables 3–4 fully functional monitoring bots Discord alerts triggered for 80%–100% discount events Configuration options per bot and retailer Setup instructions and documentation Optional post-launch support
