Android Live Audio Broadcast App

I need a developer who can take me from concept to a working Android application that lets me broadcast live audio. The core of the project is real-time streaming, so the app must open quickly, connect to my streaming server without noticeable delay, and play the audio smoothly on any modern Android device. Access will be gated. Every listener has to sign in before they can press Play, so I’ll need a simple email/password login flow linked to Firebase Authentication (or an equally reliable alternative you might recommend). Once authenticated, the user should land on a clean player screen that shows the current programme title, a cover image, and basic transport controls (play/pause, volume). I don’t need video support or in-app chat right now—just rock-solid live audio and secure sign-in. A lightweight admin toggle that lets me update stream metadata (title, cover art) on the fly would be a bonus, but the first milestone is getting the listening experience flawless. Deliverables • Android Studio project (Kotlin or Java) that builds and runs without errors • Integrated login screen wired to Firebase (or similar) • Stream player screen that fetches and plays my Icecast/SHOUTcast (or your recommended protocol) live audio endpoint • Brief setup document so I can swap stream URLs or Firebase keys myself If you have prior experience with ExoPlayer, MediaPlayer, or other low-latency audio libraries, please highlight it in your reply. Looking forward to hearing how you’d tackle the architecture, minimise buffering, and ensure a smooth launch on Google Play.
