I want to build a dedicated Android application that keeps audio within a comfortable, pre-set decibel window for people with hearing impairments. The idea is simple: instead of scrambling for the volume buttons every time TikTok, YouTube, Netflix—or any other media source—switches from whisper-quiet to painfully loud, the app will sit at system level, monitor output, and nudge volume up or down to stay inside the range I define. Key notes for you: • Platform: strictly Android. • UI: a classic look—familiar sliders, clear labels, no ultra-minimal hidden gestures. • Coverage: TikTok, YouTube, Netflix are my priority, yet because we’re intercepting the system stream the control should automatically apply to every other app that plays audio. Deliverables 1. UX/UI assets that match the classic style (wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, icon set). 2. A working Android prototype that: • lets me set a minimum and maximum dB value, • continuously adjusts media volume to stay inside that band, • runs unobtrusively in the background and restarts with the device. 3. Integration proof: screen-capture or on-device demo showing stable volume across TikTok, YouTube and Netflix. 4. Device-wide testing report covering at least one mid-range and one flagship handset (Android 10+). 5. Handoff package: well-commented source code, build instructions and a concise user guide. Acceptance criteria • Volume never exceeds or drops below the configured dB range during a 30-minute mixed playback test. • No audible glitches or forced app closures while switching between the three named streaming services. • Battery impact stays within 3 % per hour on a standard 4 000 mAh device. If any libraries, permissions or audio APIs you plan to use require special user prompts, call them out early so we can keep the onboarding flow smooth. Let’s craft something that makes streaming safer and more comfortable for every hard-of-hearing Android user.
