Project Description – CAD Cleanup & Extraction From 3D Scan Hi, I’m looking for a skilled CAD artist experienced with mesh editing and reverse engineering to help with a small but precise task. GREAT ENGLISH IS A MUST I’ve 3D-scanned one full side of a damaged car bumper (see attached images). My goal is to extract a clean, accurate section of the bumper profile so I can 3D print it as a 2-foot-long template. The printed part will be used by a bodyshop as a physical reference to rebuild the missing section of the bumper. What I need you to do: Work on my raw 3D scan mesh (blue model). The scan is complete on one side of the bumper and captures the correct curvature and surface shape. Cut out the required section based on the areas I’ve indicated in red in the images. This cutout must follow the original bumper’s top profile and curvature. Only the outer surface needs to be clean and accurate. Internal thickness is not important. Clean the geometry of this extracted piece: Remove scanning noise and artefacts Smooth the surface where appropriate Ensure the border edges are clean and watertight Maintain overall curvature accuracy (no reshaping beyond cleanup) Prepare a printable STL The output must be a watertight, manifold STL ready for 3D printing.
